What is Slack?

Slack is a basically chatroom. We use Slack as a way to chat about our side projects between meetings and also get to know everyone, including people in the other chapters.

Do I need to have a Slack account to join?

The way Slack works is that you have to sign up for every team you’re on. So yes, you will sign up for Slack, but just for the Side Projects Club team.

What happens after I fill out this form?

Cara or John will add you as soon as we can!

I’m in! Now what?

By default you’ll be added to the #general and #random channels, and you can start chatting! You can also join other channels that interest you or pertain to your side projects, like #art, #coding, #fabric, #writing, etc. There are also chapter-specific channels for Omaha and Kansas City.
