I haven’t said anything online up to this point because I’m still working out the details. I’ve told people that I’ve seen in person, and you may have also heard through the grapevine. But for those who haven’t heard, CoVis CoWorking is closing at the end of May. I’m really sad to see it go because I enjoyed working there and going to events there. How this affects the Omaha chapter of Side Projects Club is that we will need to relocate.

Nothing is set in stone yet, and I don’t want to make any promises, but I thought it was about time to let you all know the current state of Side Projects Club. I am having conversations with the people at Do Space about moving there in June. If Do Space doesn’t work out (which is unlikely at this stage but possible), we will relocate to Omaha Code School. Omaha Code School is technically my work place (I work on the Big Wheel Brigade side of things, which is the same company), so it would be fairly easy for us to move there. However, I’m trying to pick a place more centrally located in Omaha, so we’re trying for Do Space first.

We’re currently planning to have 3 more meetings at CoVis (including tomorrow) before we move.

Thanks guys, and I hope to see you tomorrow for Work Day!
